Nikon Camera Prices in India 2013
Nikon set its foot in India in the year 2007, totally owned by Nikon Corporation, Tokyo. Nikon has, all this while, been selling, marketing and distributing, servicing a wide range of imaging products, like cameras, microscopes, lenses, etc.
Nikon had originated in 1917 with three optical manufacturers of Japan coming together to form Nippon Kogaku K.K. With all the research and development and hard working happening at Nippon, one of its product, an 8-inch astronomical telescope, was installed in National Astronomical Observatory of Japan. Soon, sometime during the year 1932, the name NIKKOR was taken for camera lenses. Just as soon as World War II ended, the company shifted much of its focus on cameras, binoculars, etc., and pretty soon came a name for smaller cameras, Nikon. The first Nikon camera, Nikon I small sized camera came in the year 1948. Spreading out to the outer world started in the year 1953. The first SLR camera from Nikon, Nikon F SLR, was marketed in the year 1959 and soon came an all-weather camera. In the year 1968, Europe saw the first Nikon establishment in Netherlands, then in around 1978 came one in Canada, and the very next year in U.K. and gradually in Hong Kong and thus spreading throughout the world. Year 1997 onwards, Nikon had started its COOLPIX range of cameras. Starting from D1 SLR in 1999, Nikon has now reached D4 SLR by 2012, with an Indian opening in the year 2007.
