Canon Camera Prices in India 2013
Canon is a name among the tops in the field of photography. Be it digital SLRs (DSLR), compact cameras, or personal camcorders, Canon tops everywhere. Whatever Canon produces, it makes sure there lot of Research and Development behind it. However still, the company never stops from innovating itself technologically, luring all its consumers globally.
However, this giant manufacturer had had a very modest beginning in the year 1933 in Tokyo, Japan. The earliest of the association was named as “Kwanon,” but when in 1935 the first product was launched as Hansa Canon, a planeshutter camera, the name of the company was rather forgotten, what now was remembered was Canon. The company introduced Japan's first indirect X ray camera in the year 1941. Finally, in the year 1947, the name of the company was officially changed to Canon Camera Co., Inc., along with this, the company started to plan out expansion to international market. The first international branch was opened in New York in the year 1955. By 1957, Canon moved to Europe too, starting with first and only distributor set up in Geneva, Switzerland. As soon as the company was set up, Canon had started venturing out to other products as well, with different equipments for office purposes, like a calculator with a mere 10 keys. With its increasing range of products, Canon Camera Co., Inc. had to be changed to Canon Inc. The company saw an all time low in the early 1970s, however, it gained back the lost courage by 1976 with fresh strategies. Among various other things that talk of Canon’s success story, there is the world’s first SLR camera, which came with an in-built microcomputer. Soon, in 1979, came the laser printer with a semiconductor laser, another jewel in the list of “world’s firsts from Canon,” with many other “world first” following. Since then, Canon has forever strived for better technologies, thus bringing better opportunities to the world, with the latest one being EOS C300 digital cinema camera introduced in the year 2012.
Gradually, with enough success, Canon came to India too. As of date, Canon India stands at the top when it comes to innovations technologically. Canon brings to its consumers cameras that are light, easy to carried around, with technologies that would not require any cumbersome gadgets to be taken along while on a photo shoot. Canon India has won many awards and accolades on the way to success; was ranked among the Top 25 Best Employers in India 2011 by Aon Hewitt, Manufacturer of the Year 2010 – Smart Photography, and Best Camera Company of the Year – Smart Photography.
