Overall Review
Olympus Corporation, the Japan based manufacturer of optics and reprography products, a highly popular name when it comes to the camera world. There is no denying the fact that Olympus has lost the panache and the strength hold that it once had on the world photography market, an obviously not any professional linked with Olympus Co. likes that. Some very efficient creative and low cost Point and Shoot devices have been launched by Olympus to make up for that. One such product is Olympus VG 160, the entry level digital camera when reviewed seems likely an ideal choice for an enthusiast who is learning the basics of photography, or simply to capture the priceless moments life has to offer. Briefly the 14 Megapixel baby for Olympus sports a superb 5x digital zoom and a wide 26-130 mm lens packed to its sleek and elegant body. At just 19.3mm deep, Olympus VG-160 slips easily into a coat pocket which measures just 19.8mm.

This gives the Olympus VG-160 a combined zoom capacity of up to 20x of magnification. Theaperture control function on the VG-160 is what adjusts the light that falls on the image sensor, which ranges from f/2.8 to f/6.5. It also features a TTL or through the lens iESP autofocus system that the contrast system works on.
